We are nearly ready to reopen Hope Cottage from Monday 12 April, and can’t wait to be welcoming guests again.
We’ve had a very busy week restocking and decorating. We have many guests who return to Hope Cottage regularly, so they will see a few changes. We have completely redecorated the small bedroom, in keeping with the rest of Hope Cottage – gone is the nasty beige that we inherited! All the windows have been replaced and repainted inside and out, and this has made a huge difference. We have also replaced the bathroom floor. Various other bits of tidying and maintenance have been done inside and out.
We had a wander around the Estate yesterday in the chilly sunshine and it’s all looking lovely, with the spring blossom and primroses. The family of pheasants are on the entrance lawn as usual. The indoor pool and gym are having a deep clean ready for reopening.
We are sad to be going home and back to work! But also happy that our guests can enjoy their holiday in beautiful South Devon after such difficult times.
